SPIRIT HOLLOW ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL CHANGES
Brian Lorenz promoted to Director of Golf; Scott Glendening named Executive Chef
Burlington, Iowa - General Manager Jim Wyffels announced several personnel changes that are taking place at Spirit Hollow, the home of Pure Golf and Warm Hospitality in Burlington, Iowa.
PGA Professional Greg Mason, who has been Director of Golf at the facility since 2011, will be departing in January to assume the Executive Director role for the Iowa Section of the PGA. During his tenure at Spirit Hollow, "Mase" was involved in all aspects of the business, with an emphasis on ensuring every guest had a memorable experience.
With Mason's departure, Brian Lorenz has been promoted to Director of Golf, overseeing all golf operations. A native of Ankeny, Iowa, Brian became a Class A PGA Professional in 2008 and has vast knowledge of club operations and golf instruction. Brian joined the Spirit Hollow team in 2017, His prior experience includes Head Golf Professional positions at Stagg Hill Golf Club and Short Hills Country Club. Joining the Spirit Hollow team as the new Executive Chef is Scott Glendening, whose experience spans more than 20 years in the kitchen and on the business side of food service. A native of Burlington, Scott joined the Army right out of high school and developed a passion for cooking. After serving his country with honors, Scott traveled the US, honing his operational and culinary skills in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas and Chicago before returning to Burlington.
"We are sad to lose Greg as he has been a tremendous asset to Spirit Hollow, but I know he is leaving us to take his dream job," commented Wyffels. "But I am also excited about the depth and breadth of experience Scott and Brian bring to us as it will definitely elevate our Pure Golf and Warm Hospitality experience."
